It wasn’t our intention to move much today just fill with water and empty the elsan’s. When we found the canalside elsan blocked (again) it necessitated us going up the the alternative one at Braunston Turn, and having gone that far, we decided to go for a country cruise over the weekend and went out to Flecknoe. I’m waiting for some carpentry to be done, and since it doesn’t seem that it will be completed until Monday, we may as well stay in a country location rather than in the middle of Braunston.

 

I was very surprised at just how many boats are moored out here, given that there is still space on some of the moorings in Braunston. The plan is now to stay here until Monday then go back to collect the piece of carpentry before carrying on towards Birmingham.
