We decided to stay put for Saturday since it was heavy rain all day and today (Sunday) we haven’t come that far, only about 4 miles again, although the rain was chiefly just drizzle. With adequate wet gear it wasn’t too unpleasant.Stopped off to top up with water and have come to rest here near Dodford since to go much further we get close to the M1 motorway, not conducive to a good night’s sleep.

Tomorrow we head up the Buckby Flight of locks and hopefully the weather forecast of overcast with reduced chance of rain will hold up.
