Hatton

Here I am Rune

Distance 2.6  miles

Total 4220 Locks  265 Tunnels

Running total mileage 6,450.5 miles

Well we managed to team up with another boat to tackle the Hatton flight of locks, so half the work to do, and improved even more as we got to the top and 4 CRT volunteers appeared. With all of that assistance we got up the flight in about 3hours and 15 minutes. We weren’t rushing, merely dogged and systematic in our method. Tomorrow we should be doing the Lapworth flight and then that will probably be our last lock for this year.

Conditions today were ideal for locking, no rain just overcast so not too hot either. Add to that the fact that I quite enjoy the Hatton flight and a good day all round.

I’m expecting to get to somewhere around about Hockley Heath tomorrow.
