A good day’s cruise that has got us to the outskirts of Stockton Heath having taken in three tunnels and a lock (although only a stop lock). As planned we stopped off at Midland Chandlers and picked up some Elsan Blue, although the cost has gone up a bit to £22.50 for two, rather than the £20 last time we bought it, but still cheaper than almost anywhere else. Also tried to find a replacement chimney since ours has seen better days, but it seems it is a non-standard size, so we were unsuccessful on that particular mission.

Tomorrow the hope will be to get to Altrincham.
