We reached Anderton comfortably by lunchtime, the canal seemed familiar from our previous over-wintering in the area, Bramble Cuttings was one mooring we stopped at and, if we weren’t on something of a schedule, I would have stopped there again.

All of the necessary shopping was completed during the afternoon, although the weather has certainly been no help with intermittent showers. Annoyingly I had to go through three different supermarkets to get everything that we needed since each of them didn’t have some of the items.

A seemingly longer day tomorrow incorporating 3 tunnels and a stop at Midland Chandlers to get some stuff.  By tomorrow night we should be onto the Bridgewater Canal.
