We stayed at Tardebigge over the weekend finally moving on this morning up to Kings Norton. This involved only one lock but three tunnels, Wast hills tunnel being the longest at 2726 yards or just over a mile and a half. It is a two way operating tunnel but we didn’t meet anyone coming the opposite way whilst in it. We haven’t come across that many boats on the move today even though the weather was OK.
Having now completed a section of canal that we haven’t passed along before to Kings Norton junction (we are only five and a half miles from Birmingham city Centre at Gas Street Basin), we now turn around and head back towards Tardebigge again, probably going back down on Wednesday.
