After a break of about three weeks we are back on the boat and back on the move again. The break was to enable us to complete walking the South Downs Way, so that is another Long Distance Trail under our belts.
What absolutely brilliant weather it has been today, especially for a Bank Holiday. Surprisingly given the fact of the bank Holiday and the exceptional weather, it has been relatively quiet coming down here to Polesworth from Fazeley. There have been some boats on the move but nothing like as many as I would have expected.
Since we have got a bit of time to kill before going into Birmingham at the end of the month for the BCN Challenge, we have decided to take a slow trip along the Ashby Canal, hence our current mooring in Polesworth on the way to it. I don’t know haw far along it we will get since we will need to be back at Fazeley by about 21st to give plenty of time to get to our start line.
