We stayed at the Hinckley mooring as planned until today (Friday) which enabled us to get the weekend shop in and also for me to take advantage of the free swimming session at Hinckley leisure centre on Thursday afternoons.
Sadly the hot weather seem to have come to an end, we had hazy sun for a lot of the day today and the wind had picked up, no longer shorts and T-shirt weather but back into jeans and a fleece top.
Since there weren’t many boats around Sutton Wharf we took advantage of our proximity to the water point to give the boat a good wash over to clear a lot of the winter muck off. Hopefully we’ll be able to wash the other side of the boat when we come back from the top of the canal.
