Marple

Here I am Rune
Distance 6.4 miles
Total 2651 Locks  123 Tunnels
Running total mileage 3690.5miles

Despite rain being forecast for the morning, we seem to have escaped that and, after a short tour of Bugworth basin we have cruised back here to Marple. Mooring at Marple was a bit problematic since the canal depth isn’t too good. When we went down to Whaley Bridge I noted a variety of areas just outside of Marple where boats were moored on Armco with the plan of mooring there on the way back, sadly we couldn’t get close enough in to moor so we are back opposite the service block at Marple. The problem that gives us is that we are now facing the wrong way and will need to turn around again to go down the Marple Flight of locks. That is the task for tomorrow.
