Now moored up outside of William Morris’s Kelmscott Manor in
preparation for the visit tomorrow. The weather today wasn’t quite as forecast,
hot sun to begin with but then rain came in later on, including thunderstorms.
The forecast for tomorrow is sunny all day, we’ll have to see.
This section of the river certainly defines the term ‘meandering’
as there are some quite sharp corners and very few straight bits. We now have
only about 4 miles to go to the limit of navigation which, if things go to
plan, we will reach on Thursday.
