As planned, the gentle trip into Boston today, done all of the domesticky stuff for the weekend so we are sorted until Monday when we plan to move on back towards Lincoln. Interestingly at about 5:35 pm a boat we’ve seen further back up the river, the Briony Rose turned up and had apparently done the trip, that has taken us since Sunday, in just the one day. There are three of them on board though which makes doing the long straight bits slightly less boring since they can change over.

 

Had a quick look into Boston this evening to try to replace a hoselock fitting that I’d inadvertently thrown away, (Wilko’s didn’t have any in stock) and it seems a quirky sort of town with some buildings that look a bit Dutch in design. Since we are here for a few days we have the opportunity to have a bit of a look around.
