A few more locks today, but once again we were fortunate to be able to team up with another boat through the Stockton and Calcutt flights so we got through fairly swiftly. A bit of a mixed bag on the weather front, started off sunny, as forecast, but as we got to Calcutt the rain came down and as we pressed on towards Napton Junction it came down in monsoons proportions. Eventually managed to moor up just beyond the Napton Narrowboat yard and almost as soon as I’d got us moored  up, the sun came out again. The damage however was already done and by that time I was soaked.

Tomorrow will once again be a bit of a late start, if we start off at all, since this is the last real occasion to get any significant shopping done before we get to Banbury, which is likely to be somewhere around about Monday.
