On a warm sunny day we have had a really pleasant cruise
along the River Soar from Leicester out to Sileby Mill. Sun is still shining
brightly and, at long last starting to feel warm. We had the bonus of
travelling through the locks today with a Dutch hire-boat crew who are doing
the Leicester ring so we also got through the locks fairly swiftly. I think the
plan for tomorrow is to get to Loughborough and then stock up with the weekend
shopping on Friday morning before pressing on further down the Soar.
