It turns oujt that it was a good call to leave filling up with diesel until today. The cost at Mercia Marina would have been about £80 made up of domestic cost of 78p per litre and propulsion cost of 1.28p per litre. At Shrobnall Marina the cost was 64p for domestic and 1.09p for propulsion so the total cost for  90 litres was £65.70, a saving of about £15. I shall have to remember about Shrobnall Marina in future since they also have a good selection in their chandlery.

No particular dramas today, passed through Burton on Trent in fine weather although there are a lot more boats on the move than we have been used to so far, quite a lot doing the Leicester ring.

The plan for tomorrow will be to reach either Handsacre, Armitage of, if is a particularly successful day, Rugeley.
