We set off a bit earlier than usual today since we had 24 locks to go down and a few miles of canal to get to Stourbridge. With the assistance of the volunteer Lock Keepers we got down the Delph flight in about 1 hour and 10 minutes but the Stourbridge flight took a bit longer.

We had the short trip up the Fens branch to tick off one of the Silver Propeller locations, so we now have 14 out of the 20 necessary. The weather heated up a bit as we came down the Stourbridge Flight and, although we hadn’t put any sun protection on, we didn’t manage to burn at all.

Overnight stay here in Stourbridge and then down the last 4 locks tomorrow onto the Staffs and Worcs canal to head back towards Great Haywood.
