So after a one night stay at Sutton Wharf (trying to check up on a water vole we saw last year) we are now back to the Hinckley mooring. One small error last night used up a lot of power from our batteries, it seems that I didn’t fully close the fridge door after getting last night’s supper. The result was that when I checked the battery state of charge (SOC) meter this morning, instead of reading the usual 89 – 90% the reading was 76.4%. This has taken a bit more engine running that usual today to restore it to 100%.

The weather has now warmed up and all of the ice has disappeared so we will press on to Hawkesbury Junction tomorrow which is about 7 miles so only a couple of hours cruise. The plan for the following day will be to get to Brinklow, which is about 10 miles, so 3 hours cruising.
