Took a short cruise down the Titford Canal to Titford Pools,
just to be able to say that we’ve been there! Probably the weather didn’t help
much as it started to rain almost as soon as we set off this morning and once
again there did seem to be a lot of rubbish in the canal. Narrowly missed the
inevitable shopping trolley and passed over a couple of traffic cones under one
of the bridges with a bit of grating noise. We had various other bits of
grating noises as we passed over other uncertain items. When we eventually got
to Titford Pools there didn’t seem anywhere to moor, so instead of cruising
down, having lunch and cruising back we just went straight there and back
again. General opinion was that we’ve
now been there, we don’t need go again!
Tomorrow (weather permitting) it will be back down the locks
and onto the Old Main line to cruise through to Tividale Quays again.
