Just a short ‘shake down’ cruise today, from the basin out to Bumble Hole and back to make sure that the repair to the leaking coolant system has worked. It seemed to be OK so we are almost ready to head out for a longer cruise now. The only issue that seems to have recurred is the stern gland is once again leaking because the thread-lock holding the stud in place has failed again, so as we travel along, the bolts holding the stern gland together loosen with the engine vibration. I’m going to have to see if I can find a permanent fix for this.
