Once again, just a short hop today of just over 4 miles. The
reason for this is because Braunston moorings aren’t into ‘winter mode’ yet and
the mooring time is limited to 48hours. If we had continued onto the mooring
today we’d have had to move on Saturday whereas by mooring up here, about an
hour from Braunston, we will be able to go onto the mooring tomorrow and stay until
Sunday.
We are still debating the destinations after Braunston as we
enter our ‘winter wandering’ phase. I’ve a mind to go up the Leicester arm to
Debdale Marina to book our blacking and BSS for next year but no real decision has
been made yet. We’ll see how we feel when we get to Braunston.
