We’ve reached Banbury but wont be staying as long as we’d intended since there are stoppages I wasn’t aware of. The stoppage at Burton Lock which would cut us off from Brauston, comes into play on 7^th December not as their original date of 10^th so we will have to be back the other side of the lock before Monday. Turning around is also something of an issue since Banbury Lock itself is closed until Monday and the winding point is below it, it looks as though we are going to have to reverse about 400 yards back up the canal to the last winding point to turn around. These little problems are sent to try us!
