Now on our way back down the canal and a brilliant day to be doing so. The weather forecast for at least the next three days looks pretty good so looking forward to some pleasant cruising. It’s funny how coming back down the canal seems easier that going up it. We passed through the landslip at Dogmersfield with a lot less hassle then we had when going up, although we still ran aground on the bend we managed to keep going reasonably well and eventually got through. Moored for lunch at Chequers Bridge (where we had an overnight stop on the way up) and have pressed on to Fleet for the overnight stop on the way down. This isn’t as quiet a mooring as Chequers Bridge since it is alongside the main road from Fleet to Reading.

Tomorrow night, if all goes according to plan we should be at Mytchett Visitor Centre again.
