Today was probably the shortest cruise of this trip, just 2 miles and no locks. The reason being that we needed to get to Nantwich for a variety of reasons, the weekend shopping, a couple of bits for the boat from the chandlery and the usual ‘domesticky’ stuff of dumping our rubbish/recycling, filling with water and emptying the toilet cassettes.

I was most impressed with the service from the chandlery, not only did they have the seal for my diesel filler cap (in several different sizes) but also had a replacement for the broken air release valve on the toilet cassette, something that I thought I was going to have to wait until I got back to my postal address and order online for delivery.

The current plan is to stay here until Sunday (maximum stay on moorings 48 hours) to give a chance to have another look around Nantwich (a thriving town) and take a dip in their brine swimming pool tomorrow.
