A very pleasant day’s cruising in just the right sort of weather, sunny but not too hot. The forecast had threatened showers by lunchtime but fortunately they didn’t appear. Not a lot of boats on the move, although I did notice yesterday that all of Napton’s boats at Autherley Junction appeared to be out. When we stopped for lunch at Calf Heath was the time when we saw the most number of boats on the move, 4 came through.

We have stopped just short of Gailey since once I saw that these moorings were pretty full, I guessed (rightly) that the proper visitor moorings in Gailey would be full. We’ll be kicking around here until Sunday when we go to the boatyard in Gailey to get the Esperbacher heater serviced.
