The weather today was absolutely perfect for canal cruising,
clear skies, little wind and to add to that, very pleasant countryside that we
are passing through. The only small fly in the ointment was that we were held
up for about 40 minutes above Bowers lock be a tree down across the canal. The
National Trust volunteers were quick to deal with it and we were soon on our
way again. Stopped for lunch at Dapdune
Wharf and then finished the day’s cruise at Shalford Water meadows where we are
moored (along with a herd of bullocks).
If all goes to plan we should be in Godalming tomorrow.
