Finally on the move towards Reading and the Thames. Not a
high mileage today but we now have 10 locks out of the way. The sort of weather
we have had today was superb and I would like to think that it is what narrow-boating
is all about! After the hors d’oeuvre of today’s lock tally, this is what we
have lined up for tomorrow!!
Think we’ll need a short rest after this lot.
Hoping to team up with the crew of another narrow-boat called ‘Lindy-Lou’ who
we have got to know whilst at this end of the canal during the winter, it seems
that they are also going up through Caen Hill tomorrow, 2 crews = half the work
(I hope!)
