The original plan for today was to get to the bottom of Hurleston Locks and moor up there for the night, ready to go up the flight tomorrow morning. Having looked at the weather, and since we made reasonable progress today, the decision was to carry on and go up the flight today. The early part of of tomorrow is forecast to be rain and doing locks in the rain is not a lot of fun so we have got the Hurleston flight out of the way, then next lock is Swanley, about 40 minutes up the canal. Since we will need to get a bit of coal tomorrow at the marina, hopefully by the time we go through the lock the rain will have passed.
