Despite the late start, we still managed 8 miles, 2 locks, 2 tunnels and an aqueduct. The difference now is that we are travelling with the current which means that the 1mph current we were travelling into going to Llangollen is now a 1mph current pushing us along.
The canal is still pretty quiet bearing in mind that the schools have now broken up and Easter is next weekend, although after we moored up for the night about 4 Canal Club boats came through from their base at Ellesmere. Ignoring any disasters we will be in Ellesmere by tomorrow afternoon which is where my calculation of 14 days to get to Fazeley Mill starts, I’ll see if we keep up the pace.
