Now comfortably moored on the Chester Visitor moorings after a cruise on what can be described as a pleasant spring-like day. Quite a change from a week ago when it felt like we were still in the depths of winter, now there is even a bit of warmth in the sun.

It is just as well that we weren’t particularly early in getting under way this morning since the canal about half a mile from where we were moored was closed after a man’s body was found in the water. The Police clearly don’t regard the death as suspicious since the canal was re-opened by midday when we passed through.

Not sure yet how long we will be staying here in Chester, since the winter stoppages are still on we aren’t in any great rush to get anywhere.
