Church Minshull

Here I am Rune
Distance 6 miles
Total 2930 Locks  142 Tunnels
Running total mileage 4196.4 miles

As per yesterday’s plan, we have precisely reached bridge 12 near to Church Minshull and moored on what seems to be an excellent mooring. There is the traditional ‘Shroppie shelf’ so the boat is moored about a foot from the bank but to make up for that the view across the valley from here is excellent.I have noticed this mooring on the occasions that we have passed through and thought that it looks to be a good mooring, a house with a view such as this, in this location, would cost a mint.

No real dramas today, all of the ice has gone and the temperature has risen a bit, although after a few hours on the helm I was starting feel a bit chilly so when we stopped to moor for the night (and get some lunch) the Eberspacher diesel heating went on to warm the boat, as we had let the fire go out.

The current plan will be to get back to Nantwich by Tuesday morning sometime, unless we get a delay of some sort.
