Another easy day from Blackpole down here to the edge of Diglis Basin in Worcester. It involved 7 locks but all went pretty smoothly and we were here by lunchtime having not set off until 10.30am. With such an early arrival time I took the opportunity to have more of a look around Worcester, particularly the cathedral which was an interesting history lesson. I also took a trip up the tower to view Worcester from on high and, since it was a clear day, the view was quite impressive. The view down the River Severn (running alongside the cathedral) towards the Malvern Hills was a particular pleasure.
We’ll be moored here until Friday when we set off down the river towards Tewskesbury and Gloucester.
