Today it was back up the River Severn to Tewkesbury which, due to a slightly increased current, was fairly slow progress, taking us about four and a half hours to get here. We were passed by a few boats who were all running at higher revs than we were but since there was no specific rush I didn’t see any point in burning a lot more fuel just to get here earlier. 

It was quite a busy day on the river, I think a lot had been waiting for the tides to end (which they did, yesterday, no more until next week now). There was quite a lot of debris in the river, possibly dislodged by the bore coming through.

I think we will stay in Tewkesbury for tonight and tomorrow and then move on up the river, we have a two week permit so may as well take a slow trip through taking in all of the sights.
