The shortest of short trips today brings us back into Gloucester docks where we will remain until Friday when we’ll head off back upriver to Tewkesbury. The reason for waiting until Friday is because there is still a tide running on the river and I don’t fancy pushing into an ebbing tide to get to Tewkesbury since it’ll take us over 3 hours even without pushing a tide. The second reason is that the forecast for Friday is a lot better than it is for tomorrow when rain is forecast for the morning.
