And now, after a couple of days in Tewkesbury,  we have started our trip up the Avon towards Stratford. Sunday is probably not the best day for chugging up the river in a narrow-boat since it is the day when the sailing clubs all have their races, as we found to our cost at Tewkesbury Sailing club, Severn Sailing club and Arden Sailing club. We managed to get through without mishap and have found a mooring for the night at Swan’s Neck, also known as Burlingham Wharf. 

Because of the set up for this mooring, it could be interesting getting off on an adverse wind, but I’ve checked the forecast for tomorrow and the wind is only due to be light.
