After staying at Langley Mill for three days whilst a belt of rain passed through, we have now move back down the Erewash Canal to Sandiacre, pretty much where we were moored on the way up.

The stay at Langley Mill was made interesting with a visit to the D.H.Lawrence birthplace museum and also wandering around in the town that inspired several of his works. There is a walking tour that passes the 4 houses he had lived in at Eastwood, including the museum which was where he was born.

Tomorrow, weather permitting, we’ll be back down to the River Trent.
