Have to say the weather forecasting is becoming more and more inaccurate. The forecast for this morning was for rain clearing a bit by midday, a bit of a shower at lunchtime and then clearing, it was nothing like that! I togged up in wet gear to cruise to Nantwich and there was barely a drop of rain. It then started to rain at about 12.30pm when I moored up at Nantwich Canal Centre to take on fuel and continued to rain whilst I fuelled up (always good to get rain in your diesel…not). Had lunch and it stopped raining then walked into town to post some stuff and have a swim, the rain then started and continued pretty much throughout my swim (the brine pool is outdoor). Funnily enough whem swimming front crawl you don’t actually see what the weather is really doing, it was only when I took a break and swum sidestroke that I realised it was blowing a gale and streaming down with rain, so I went back to front crawl.

We’ll be here until Saturday morning, the moorings here are now 48 hour all year, which is a bit of a shame. This was where we used to leave the boat occasionally during the winter months to go elsewhere for a week or so.
