A bit of a trek from March since we had to go out of the town to find a winding hole to turn the boat around, hence the 15 mile trip today. Weather was a bit up and down, rain one minute, sun the next so that at one point I was wearing my sunglasses whilst it was raining!

We’ve booked to go through Stanground Lock at 11.00 am tomorrow so it looks as though we need to be away by about 9.00am to be there on time, it’s about 4.4 miles. Behind us is moored the boat for the 10.00am slot through the lock, so they will need to be away for 8.00am.

All things being equal we should be in Peterborough for tomorrow and able to get the weekend shop.
