Curdworth

Here I am  Rune
Distance  13 miles
Total 3113 Locks  163 Tunnels
Running total mileage 4629.9 miles

I seem to have missed a stop that we had for a few days at Fazeley to get the weekend shop in and one or two other bits and pieces. Today (Sunday) however we have moved off again heading down the Birmingham and Fazeley canal towards the BCN area. Quite a warm days work in hot sunshine going through the 11 locks of the Curdworth flight, the heat made it seem further. All went pretty well though and we seem to have got from Fazeley Junction  to Curdworth tunnel in under 3 hours. It did however take a bit of searching to find a mooring since it was quite shallow at the sides. Eventually I reversed back towards the tunnel as the moorings were deeper there (there was already one other boat moored there).

Tomorrow the plan is to pass through Minworth locks, Salford Junction (a bit dire) and then up to the top of the Perry Barr flight, it could be a warm day’s work given the forecast of more sun.
