Quite a few locks done today but, once you get into a system of doing them, it all seems to pass without incident. It’s the second time we’ve done the Wolverhampton Flight of locks and I think on the last occasion all of the locks were set against us, and that is pretty much what happened today since we were following another boat down the flight, which meant that we had to fill every lock. We weren’t massively delayed by this however, taking about 3 hours and 50 minutes to get down the flight, so slightly better that 5 locks an hour, or one lock every 12 minutes.
We haven’t decided how far we will be pressing on tomorrow but we are in no real hurry.
