A fairly relaxed day today, walked across from Autherley Junction to the Pendford shops to do the weekend shop and then a gentle trip down to below Compton Lock for the night. Originally we were just going to stop here for lunch, but then changed plans. Have to say that there is a good depth of water on this canal at the moment so we have been cruising at the full 3 mph.
We’ll be watching the weather over the next few days since it is a Bank Holiday rain is forecast for Monday so we may be mooring up somewhere to let it pass. We need to get to Greenforge however to empty the cassettes and fill with water, so can’t moor up for too long.
