The worst of the forecasted rain seems to have come overnight and since the plan for today was to only go as far as the top of the Hatton Flight, although there was light rain, we pressed on with it. On the one hand it is obviously a lot more pleasant cruising under sunny skies, but the water levels now seem to be quite seriously depleted so some rain is definitely called for.

Tomorrow we will have the pleasure of the trip down the Hatton Lock flight and into Warwick
