A fairly easy trip today of just over 6 miles and one lock through quite pleasant Cheshire countryside bringing us to Church Minshull. The rain held off for the day but the wind was pretty strong and increased in force after we had moored for the day at lunchtime, so mooring was probably a good idea. I have to say that I quite like this section of canal with some very pleasant secluded moorings, if we are wintering in this area we may take advantage of staying on one or two of them during the winter.
Tomorrow we head off to Calveley where there is a sanitary station to refill with water, empty the elsan and shower. Tuesday I hope to make contact with the guy to refurbish our fire
