Today we passed through Reading and could see the full extent of the area used for the Reading Festival, it is massive! They even build a temporary bridge over the river to accommodate the crowds going there. As we passed the site they were still completing the clear up since the festival was last weekend, we would have got a good view of it had we passed through then. The only other point of note about Reading is that is where the Kennet and Avon Canal meets the Thames.

We got as far as intended, to Pangbourne/Whitchurch although finding a mooring was a slight problem that involved upsetting a local fisherman! In fairness though if he chooses to cast his line from a riverbank studded with mooring bollards he’s got to expect a boat to come in and moor there. I did try to find somewhere else, but this was the only available mooring.

Definitely a quirky place to put a postbox!
