Despite there having been some rain forecast for today, it actually held off so we had a dry and pleasant cruise today back into Birmingham. Stopped off at Yardley Wood to top up with water as we were quite low and unsure whether there was enough to run the washing machine. Seems I have a problem with the filler hose which is fitted with Hozelok sealer valves, one of which seems to be worn and impeding the flow, so that be in line for replacement.

There seemed a plentiful supply of moorings when we got into Birmingham, there was one by the Customer Service Unit opposite the Mailbox (tends to be a bit windy there), some on the straight going down to Worcester Bar and also in Gas Street Basin (tends to be a bit noisy) but we found our usual mooring outside the the Brindley Place gym available, so here we are. Weekend shopping tomorrow then I’ll look to see if there are any spaces on the 14 day moorings beyond St Vincents Street Bridge and I want to do a bit of painting there.
