And now just a gentle cruise back to Hawne Basin whilst we decide what we are going to do next. Given the shortage of water at the moment, it probably wont involve boating since the only real option at the moment is just Birmingham and back again.

There were no real dramas on the way back, I was surprised to run over some obstruction beyond Bromford Bridge that lifted the boat as we passed over it, and the trip through Gorsty Tunnel seemed endless, even though it was only 21 minutes. There were a few boats on the move today, but since the Birmingham Summit level seems to be the only place with a reasonable guarantee of water, that isn’t so surprising.

Today it was just the weekly ‘domesticky’ stuff, a trip to Cambrian Wharf to empty the Elsan Cassettes, fill the water tank and dump the recycling and rubbish. It is interesting that CRT have just put out an e-mail advising boaters to make sure their water tanks are full, etc.etc. Due to the restrictions on movement, but boaters tend to have to do that anyway, with or without restrictions.

Managed to get the painting done that I had planned whilst we were on the 14 day moorings so we have now returned to the 4 day moorings opposite the Arena since we are now only here to get the weekend shopping tomorrow before we head back to the Basin on Saturday. Not sure of the plans after that.
