We decided to let the wind blow through and moved on today instead. The location we were moored wasn’t too bad as it was a bit of a cutting and gave some shelter. My main concern was for any trees coming down and blocking the canal but fortunately that didn’t happen. We are therefore once again back at Anderton, we’ll have a quick trip up to Preston Brook tomorrow and then probably stay here for the weekend (or at least to get the weekend shopping).

The forecast over the next few days is for the temperature to drop again so we’ll be in need of the coal supply that we are going to get.
