Deliberately a short day today as the weather forecast for
the afternoon was rubbish so we just moved out of Braunston, up through the
locks and tunnel and moored up again to let the belt of rain pass over. The
rest of the week’s weather looks pretty reasonable and hopefully it will start
to warm up a bit, particularly now we are into May.
No great dramas for the trip, we managed to double up with
another boat in the 2nd lock out of Braunston which speeded things
up a little for, the other boat was on a bit of a mission though since they
need to be in Paddington Basin by Friday, that sounds like some hard work to
me!
Haven’t decided where we hope to get to by tomorrow, we see
how progress goes, we still have plenty of time for our intended schedule.
