Stayed at Kilby Bridge for 2 nights and had the relatives on
board for lunch on Saturday. Decided against going further to the winding point
at Bridge 98, Blaby Bridge as it is reported to be badly silted up and would
have meant going on to Aylestone to turn around, which would have included a
number of unnecessary locks.
Back to Foxton Locks Inn for Sunday evening meal, would
highly recommend this pub as the prices are reasonable and the food is good.
The views of the canal are ideal particularly on a busy hot day, it wasn’t
however busy or hot on our visit!!
We are now at Debdale Wharf Marina where we will be
remaining until Wednesday or Thursday (hopefully!) whilst our alternator is sorted
out, then heading south.
