Ross Bridge

Map Reference Rune

Distance Travelled 10.4 miles

Total 12 Locks and 2 Tunnels

A glorious day to be travelling on the Canals! Hot sun, slight breeze and a quiet canal, what more could you ask for. The only real feature we had to deal with today was Saddington Tunnel but at only 808 metres it isn’t really a challenge.

Stopped off at Debdale marina for them to consider the charging problem, engineer seems to think that it is the alternator that is not charging properly and needs reconditioning, likely to cost in the order of £500 but will have to be done if we are to cure the problem. Have found an additional drain on the system that didn’t really help and that was the microwave, when only plugged in and not being used drains 13 amps from the system so have now switched it off and am hopeful that we won’t wake up in the morning to the ‘low battery’ light!

Picked up a geocache today to take part in their month of geocaching, not sure that I will be able to keep up the rate of a geocache a day but we will have to see.
