As planned, today’s trip did all of the domestic stuff (re-fuelled, topped up with water, emptied the Elsan) and then a short trip out to Hurleston. Collected a couple more wooden pallets for kindling today, however whilst cutting them up I managed to drop the hatchet into the canal. After about 30 minutes of trying to fish it back out with a sea searcher magnet I gave up so it looks as though I’m going to have to go into Nantwich to get another axe tomorrow.
