So after spending the New Year at Brownsover Park, Rugby we have now moved onto a very pleasant mooring not far from Brinklow. It involved passing through what I thought was a work site at the Railway Bridge at 42A but of course today being a Bank Holiday, there was nothing going on. They have reduced the width of the canal to the very barest minimum through the works however so it was a pretty slow manoeuvre to get through.

We’ve stopped at the location that we have because to have gone much further on would have put us alongside the M6, not conducive to a quiet night’s sleep! To get past that we will need to try to get somewhere near Bedworth tomorrow.
